Who We Are
United Against the Death Penalty is a Northeast Florida group for the end of the death penalty.
We are a community of advocates, families, and individuals who believe that justice should be rooted in dignity, accountability, and respect for human life.

What We Believe
We believe that the death penalty is:
– irreversible
– deeply flawed
– and incompatible with a just and humane society.
No system is free from error. When a life is at stake, the risk is too great.
We stand for a justice system that values life, acknowledges harm, and allows space for accountability without resorting to execution.

Why This Matters
Behind every sentence is a human being.
Behind every case are families, communities, and stories that are often overlooked.
The death penalty does not heal harm, it extends it.
Ending it is not about ignoring accountability.
It is about choosing a path that reflects our shared humanity.

What We Do
We work to:
– create space for conversation, reflection, and action
– raise awareness about the realities of the death penalty
– share stories that center the human impact
– support efforts toward abolition
– raise awareness about the realities of the death penalty
